I think I gave people the wrong idea.... I MADE IT HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!  YIPPEE!!!

And....it was Wonderful!

When I was in college - and then when I was working I wasn't coming home for Christmas nearly as often.  My parents had an empty house so they started the annual 'surfing safari' where they hit as many beaches as they can during the holidays.  This year I got to tag along and it was great!  Here are some photo's....

After working in the Middle East for three years I finally made it to the Mall of the Emirates!  I wandered around for hours!  It was seriously overwhelming!  I did one of those stupid girlie things where I decide that I have to buy something to wear home on the plane.  Then of course nothing looks appealing to me and I end up buying something just so I don't go home empty handed.  Why do girls do that?!

This was the indoor ski slope.  The place was packed!  I was actually a little surprised to see that the mall was so decked out for christmas.  It was a nice dose of holiday cheer before heading home!

Upon departure from the vessel: Third Mate:  Okay, so we'll have to be in touch.

Me:  Without a doubt.

Third Mate:  You'll have to fill me in on everything you  hear since you're such a dirty pirate hooker.

*note: he's been calling me a dirty pirate hooker for a few days now...

Me:  Wait, why am I a dirty pirate hooker?

Third Mate:  I dunno....cause you're dirty and a hooker?

Me:  Oh yeah, I forgot.....
